This was a personal project I undertook after watching the design challenge by Chris Do and his Futur. team on an Adobe Live Session. I tend to have an extreme passion for the world of Aviation. The industry allows freedom of creativity and exploration like no other, literally Sky is the Limit here. (pun intended)

For my design package, I chose Qatar Airways as my primary airlines. Qatar airways is one of the biggest and most elegant airlines across the skies. The airline has redefined luxury in the aviation sector and is quiet rightly symbolic of the royal culture of Qatar. Thus, through this project I tried to showcase a sub-brand of the middle-eastern airlines, which directly aims to cater the Premium Brand of customers, who'd enjoy the palace in sky.

INTRODUCING

Qainaat is a majestic and a beautiful Urdu word which means the "The Entire Universe" or "The Creation". The word is as enigmatic as it sounds, and aligns with our motive of creating a premium brand. The word is reflective of the rich Qatari Islamic culture and the scale of our brand value.

Qainaat was created as a luxury, premium sub-brand for Qatar Airlines. Qainaat aims to provides a majestic flight experience complemented with meticulous care as it aids you on your journey of exploration at 40,000 ft.

The philosophy behind the Qainaat logo is to create a minimalist and elegant look which aligns with the brand values of  the mother company, Qatar Airways.

Thus, I modified the key element, the Arabian Oryx into a sleek and royal appeal with a star in centre to showcase our airline as the most beautiful thing in the entire

For the typeface, I wanted a font family which exhibits minimalism but also boldness. Josefin Sans is a font family which provides immense variations with its well rounded curves and neat stroke finishing.

For the pattern, I wanted something traditional Qatari designs which exhibits Royalty. Thus I chose this elegant geometrical pattern used by the Royal Family of Qatar.

For secondary patterns, I used the couple of patterns embedded in the Qatari Tourism. Firstly, the sand patterns from the infamous Khor Al Adaid or better known as the 'Inland Sea" beach. Followed by a state of the art Geometric  Sculpture of "Stars" carved on a wooden panel, a found in the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha.
